despite the set back it is a good hotel because of the location

it was in a good location

they had cleaners that would change sheets and take out trash but they did it sweep. when we got to our room it was left open. we weren’t informed that the toilet was separate from the bathroom and the shower area had no curtains.

The location was good

The first room they put us in was not cleaned well. There were stains on the wall and couch. The second room was better but still not clean all the way, the TV didn’t work, and the shower door wouldn’t close. I was disappointed because my last stay here was amazing and the room was so nice. This time I was shocked. I thought it was a completely different hotel. I have no idea what happened. Maybe it was the room type. We chose the suite.

Staff was great, the bed was comfortable and the view and location is perfect.

Terrible lighting in the bathroom. Quite unpleasant to get done as a women as there's only 1 mirror in the room which is the bathroom. In addition, there was no warm water setting. It was either steaming hot or cold water, not ideal for showers but good for a bath I guess.

The location of the hotel is amazing right in the center of Hongdae.

We were messaged that the check in time was 1pm but when we arrived were told it was 3pm and had to pay extra to check in at 2. The room was okay, but the lighting is poor and is a bit of a bare minimum in amenities.

A dreadful experience.

The pictures of the rooms on Booking.com. The view from the hotel room. The door on the way out.

So this was without question, one of the worst hotel rooms I've ever stayed in. On the surface. It looks like it's going to be a really amazing hotel (from Booking.com) but when actually checked in I was told that there was no breakfast even I paid for it and that they gave me KRW 10k back to pay for the breakfast that I booked that no longer existed for whatever reason. Additionally, when I went into the room, it was as I expected (tiny) but I had paid nearly CHF 200 for this one night stay. So I expected maybe a cleaner room in terms of the decor: it looked as though quite a lot of activity had taken place in this room with stains on the walls. And even though the room was completely white, perhaps putting in a headboard wouldn't be so bad and then there wouldn't be greasy hair stains all around where pillows should be. Additionally, the bathroom was in dire need of an upgrade. Someone who cleaned it with some kind of acid and it taken the shine from the marble leaving the dreadful patches of all I can describe of is is chalky, disgusting marks. Additionally, all of the seals in the bath were broken or black. There was a Jacuzzi bath. The little holes where the jacuzzi bubbles should come from were all blackened and everything was yellowed, and there were huge stains in the toilet. The only thing that was clean in that room actually that looked nice and recently replaced was the sink. This is just a not nice hotel at all their wires hanging out nowhere to charge my appliances. The lights are all on some kind of weird, touchscreen system which doesn't work properly when configured to English. So overall, if you're a tourist and you want something that's clean and tidy, maybe for the amount of money that I spent, you maybe need to spend a little bit more and go to well-known hotel. Certainly, I will never, ever recommend this hotel and I will never be booking a hotel room with booking.com.

The room was unlocked when I checked in. And it’s really dirty and untidy. The staff could not provide another available room for exchange. Hence I need to reserve room from other hotel.
